Whether you are running your first race or your fiftieth, you’ll be sure to learn something in these Personal Peak clinic series.

Join Personal Peak’s Head Physiologist Travis Brown to dive deep into a particular topic and learn practical skills that will help you on your journey towards your Personal Peak! Each clinic runs for four weeks, with a one hour in person session each week. Make sure to register ahead of time to reserve your spot!

Ultramarathon Logistics – Race Preparation

In this clinic we will dive deep into Ultramarathon logistics and race preparation as you gear up for your goal race(s) this season. You will cover topics like race gear, crewing logistics, aid station efficiency and troubleshooting. Participants will also come away with their own personalized pace plan and race plan custom tailored for their goal race for the season. This plan will be invaluable in managing a successful crew and succeeding on race day!

Session #3: Race Day Execution, Optimization & Troubleshooting

Uphill & Downhill Running Technique for Trail Runners

In this clinic we will learn all about uphill and downhill running technique and level up your performance while staying injury free. You will cover topics and work on hands on skills like power hiking technique, form drills, footwork running with poles, and strength training. This clinic series is designed to give you a toolkit to draw from as you prepare for your races or adventures this season.

Session #3: Running with Poles
Session #4: Training Techniques (strength/plyometrics)

Trail Running 101

In this clinic we will cover the fundamentals of trail running and level up your performance on the trails. You will cover topics and work on hands on skills like power hiking technique, form drills, footwork running with poles, gear, safety and planning. You’ll learn everything you need to confidently get out on the trails this summer! Sessions will be a mix of practical skills and lecture style learning and will take place outdoors in Dale Hodges Park, some of the best trails in Calgary!

Session #4: Safety, Logistics & Planning

Running Injury Prevention

In this clinic we will dive deep into the foundational elements of running injury prevention. You will begin the series with some pre testing to determine your personal areas for improvement, and then cover topics and work on hands on skills like to release, stretching, and activating the proper areas to restore balance to your running stride. You’ll take away a personalized plan for ongoing maintenance and the skills to keep yourself injury free for years to come!

Session #3: Core & Pelvis
Session #4: Upper Body & Post Testing

We`re excited to be partnering up with @stagleaprunningco to put on a crewing clinic before Lone Wolf this weekend! It will be happening at package pickup at the Park Place Lodge on September 23rd!

If you haven`t done a last person standing style race before, stop by and learn everything you need to know to support your runners and maximize their distance! You`ll also learn some tips on taking care of yourself, and surviving the race as an ultramarathon crew! You can`t forget that it`s an ultra for the crews too!
The clinic will run from 7:30-8:30pm on September 23rd.
