It's go time! personal_peak last race of the #summerraceseries is in a few hours. This will be really challenging with the smoke in the air and record temps. But I decided to make it a little harder by running a 3.5 mile loop for 12 hours and as Lazuras Lakes says " the easier the course the harder the race". I am shooting for 50 to 62 miles. How far do you think I will run?

The 4 virtual events:
* May 30 – 20 minutes
* June 27 – 45 minutes
* July 25 – 3 hours
* August 22 – 12 hours

Results are based on points mixed between men and women, 
20 minutes 8th and 3rd Male
45 minutes 4th and 2nd Male
3 hours joint 1st and 1st Male

I believe I’m just 1 point behind Dustin Mitchell in the overall results. If I can run  further than him in the 12 hours I could take the series win.

Two more sleeps until personal_peak summer series race #3. This will be a 3 hour time trial and I am shooting for 18 miles. I don't plan on going to hard because I am a week out from Kat'cina Mosa 100k and this is a perfect last long run before my biggest test to date. I am stoked I get to put my body through these things. The lessons learned from extreme endurance events have impacted my life in the best of ways. I am grateful for my awesome support system ashmo_lovin and my coach amanda_basham for helping me get to the point where I can test myself this much. personal_peak  #summerraceseries number 3 was a success. I kept it slow to save my legs for next weekends 100k which for me is my biggest race to date. I finished with 16.39 miles which is perfect pace for the 12 hour race in a month where I am shooting for another 100k. All in all I am stoked with my run and shout out to those crazy fast marathoners that can do 26.2 in the time in ran 16 miles. I ran two virtual races this morning so I’m going to recap each of them separately. 🏃‍♀️

First off was personal_peak’s first #SummerRaceSeries race - a 20 minute time trial. I’ve never done a race like this before so I was excited to try it. I loved the Zoom call, being able to see others who were running the race, and getting real time updates during the race. I ran it at a local track I just recently discovered and it worked out well. I managed 2.32 miles in 20 minutes and was pretty happy with that! I could have pushed a little harder, but I knew I had to leave something in the tank for my second race. This was an awesome format and I’m excited for the other races through the summer. ☀️

Today was also the next race in pushthruthewall’s #KingOfTheHalfCrazies series. I decided to include the first 2.32 miles in my half marathon, so I had 10.78 miles to go. I’ve got to admit, I struggled this time. This month is set to be my second highest mileage month ever, so my legs were pretty tired. Running a fast 2.32 miles to start certainly didn’t help that! It was also pretty warm today. But, I ran a route I haven’t run before and still managed to enjoy it, even if it was slow!
